1. License Grant
By purchasing TinyPixels, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Software for your personal or commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.
A single "Lifetime License" allows you to activate the Software on up to three (3) personal devices that you own and control.
2. Restrictions
You agree not to, and you will not permit others to:
- License, sell, rent, lease, assign, distribute, transmit, host, outsource, disclose or otherwise commercially exploit the Software.
- Modify, make derivative works of, disassemble, decrypt, reverse compile or reverse engineer any part of the Software.
- Share your license key with unauthorized third parties.
3. Refund Policy
We offer a free version of TinyPixels so you can evaluate the software before purchasing. As such, all sales are considered final. Refunds may be granted at our sole discretion under exceptional circumstances within 14 days of purchase.
4. "As Is" Disclaimer
The Software is provided to you "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" and with all faults and defects without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, we expressly disclaim all warranties.
Regarding Data Loss: TinyPixels utilizes lossy compression algorithms by default (unless specifically bypassed). While designed to be visually imperceptible to the naked eye, this process fundamentally involves the permanent removal of image data. You acknowledge and accept that compressing original files involves an inherent loss of raw data. We highly recommend utilizing the "Output to new folder" feature rather than overwriting original files.
5. Compression Expectations
Variable Compression Ratios: The degree to which TinyPixels can reduce file sizes depends heavily on the source image format, original compression level, and complexity. While users often experience 70-90% reductions on uncompressed PNGs, previously compressed formats (such as JPEGs exported from smartphones or other software) may only see 20-30% reductions. Because TinyPixels preserves original pixel dimensions, returning an 80% reduction on an already-optimized JPEG without significantly degrading visual quality is technically unfeasible. User results will vary.
